Picture fifteen to twenty second graders at Vacation Bible School. Then add me in as their official sit-upon. Finally, picture the whole kitten caboodle singing "We Want To See Jesus Lifted High"... in English and American Sign Language. The reason that's so significant? Well, if you're familiar with sign language, you'll know that "see" is said by holding two fingers close to your eyes and drawing them outward. Now, this is a fairly fast song, so we were signing at a rather rapid pace. Guess what happened? You win- I poked myself in the eye. The kids thought that was outrageously funny, and so they changed the words around a little bit. Thus, it sounded something like this (I edited it so that you can't tell what my real name is, because they were singing that):
"We wanna see!" *clap clap clap* "We wanna see!" *clap clap clap* "We wanna see Goldenpaw poke her eyes! We wanna see!" *clap clap clap* "We wanna see! *clap clap clap* "We wanna see Goldenpaw poke her eyes!"
This actually happened this past week!

Wow, I guess those kids got a lot worse than when I was working with them last year!
