Silverstar looked over the home that was once hers. In life, she had led LightningClan through its final days; in death, she watched over ThunderClan's first days. She approved of how things were going. Sunnystar had kept things peaceful since the battle for Sunningrocks- the one that had ended so badly. Now, she knew, new life was about to begin.
"Silverstar?" A voice cut into the former leader's thoughts. "It's them again."
Silverstar wanted to scream. Every cat assumed it was her fault that Larkpaw and Rainstorm got on so badly. While she was the one who had named them mentor and apprentice, she wasn't the one who had decided they should have opposite personalities! Irritated, she followed Cloverfoot to the place where the two cats were arguing.
"I told you, you're no more important than me now! I'm a member of StarClan just as much as you are!"
"And you still haven't learned to act like one! Look at Laurelheart! Do you see her throwing a tantrum every time she doesn't get her way!"
"It's you that's throwing a tantrum!"
"Larkpaw. Rainstorm." Silverstar's voice was an icicle, piercing the heated argument. "Why doesn't Larkpaw go and see what's going on at the other end of our territory? I'm getting really tired of having to do this."
"Yes, Silverstar," meowed Larkpaw. Rainstorm wouldn't be there, after all.

Brightstar looked curiously at Silverstar. "Why are you so irritated with Larkpaw and Rainstorm? They're arguing because they haven't yet managed to resolve their differences. Maybe we'll all end up understanding more because of them." Brightstar didn't like the arguments, either, but she felt she ought to put that idea forward. Believing it was her way of coping with the near-constant disturbance.

"Every cat always blames me!" hissed Silverstar in frustration. "Like it's my fault those two are blowing their tops all the time!"
