Okay, so none of these questions have actually been asked flat out. In order to avoid confusion, I'll try to answer the questions you have before you ask them. Think of this as a preemptive measure.
"What's with the cats and these weird names?"
That one really was asked on another Warriors RP site. It's all based off of a series called WARRIORS by the highly talented Erin Hunter. They are the story of an ordinary house cat named Rusty, as he finds his way into the forest just outside his own garden, and into a world of adventure in the form of for Clans of wild cats. These cats have two-part names, which reflect their rank in their Clan. If it still doesn't make sense, go to your local library or bookstore and look for a book entitled "WARRIORS: Into the Wild" by Erin Hunter. That tells you what the Clans are like in detail. It tells you a lot of information, partly because the characters are explaining things to an outsider who has never heard of them before.
"Can you make me a sig?"
Check my thread in the Graphic Design board. That'll tell you all you need to know.
"Why do you have that rule about no useless/chatspeak?"
Some people have trouble understanding algebra and how to solve for x. Some people have trouble threading a needle. Some people have trouble following scientific procedures. I can do those, but to understand a post in chatspeak/useless, I need half an hour and frequent visits to Wikipedia's useless-to-English translator. I just can't do it without those measures, extreme though they may seem to most people.
"If this is based on Warriors, and is set in the same place, where did ThunderClan/ShadowClan go, and what's LightningClan/DarknessClan?"
ThunderClan and ShadowClan didn't go anywhere. LightningClan and DarknessClan were destroyed later, in a time after the period we're currently roleplaying in, and the Clans that came after them were the two most mentioned in the books.
"Why are so many of the affiliates not on ProBoards?"
I may be old enough to have a ProBoards website, but many of my friends aren't. Their websites can be found there, along with a really, really good site that's completely unrelated to WARRIORS. I like it anyway. A breakdown of the non-PB affliates:
PTW Graphix is run by one of my friends.
WTWL: Freewebs is, well, the Freewebs extension of this site.
Furry Paws is a dog-showing RP that introduced me to the idea of roleplay games on the Internet.
Warriors Wish is the site with which I learned that there is such a thing as WARRIORS RP on the Internet. I probably would never have heard of ProBoards, had I not stumbled across Warriors Wish.
