Doe padded out of her house and leaped onto the fence. Her housefolk had provided her with such lovely fencing, which every few foxlengths had a place where a cat could lie down. Of course, they were just thoughtful that way... Out of the corner of her eye, Doe noticed some movement. It looked like one of the other housecats who lived nearby. Doe yawned. "Hello, there," she meowed amicably. "How are you today?"

"Fine," purred Lizabeth, who had come up behind the other cat. "In fact, I'm perfectly happy. How are you?"

"Oh, I'm doing great!" meowed the other kittypet. "It's such a nice day out. But, really, it looks like it might rain out, don't you think?" Doe studied the sky, which was a prismatic blue with shreds of dark gray on the horizon.
OOC: Please note the metaphor and foreshadowing... Doe could be talking about the literal weather, or she could be actually be referring to an impending threat to their comfortable lives. Sorry for analyzing my own RP, but I'm supposed to be doing English homework...

"Maybe," meowed Lizabeth. "I don't like thinking about rain. Sun and wind are more the sort of thing I want to see." To prove her point, she stretched out beside Doe and began to bask.

Doe purred as the other kittypet lay down beside her. It was such a luxurious day...
A Twoleg walked out into the backyard to look for her kitten. She stood back to watch Doe and Lizabeth drowsing together on the fence. She didn't know it, but she echoed Doe's thoughts. It's such a luxurious day...
